In order to meet the urban environment and driving needs, Japan has developed a unique K-Car model over the years, limiting the body volume and engine volume.Japanese carmakers Nissan and Mitsubishi have announced a partnership to develop a small electric Car similar to the K-Car, just as electric cars are beginning to be replaced by gas-powered ones. Earlier, Nissan was pictured on the road in Japan. The electric car Nissan is testing is likely to be called the New SAKURA, and will be released as soon as the first half of the year. Prices are expected to start at about y2m.Despite its disguise, the SAKURA is similar in size to the IMk concept Car unveiled in 2019, with a square box, low chassis, and high body design common to K-cars, with four or rear sliding doors that provide plenty of compartment space. It is rumored that Nissan will equip SAKURA with a 20kWh battery pack, which is expected to have a range of up to 300km due to its short-range and slow urban mobility, and provide Level 2 semi-automatic driving assistance to improve safety. The Mitsubishi model uses the same platform but has a different design, and its release and launch date are uncertain.
